To
The Top - Northland: Continuing on from a Bay of Islands
you can go to the very top of New Zealand. The
far north contains a variety of attractions
including Cape Reinga, giant Kauri trees, a
“90 mile beach”, massive sand dunes,
and an abundance of marine life.
Great
Barrier Island: If you have had enough of the big city
and want to escape then Great Barrier Island
is just the place. Just North of the Coromandel
Coast lies this amazing rugged Island complete
with stunning beaches, excellent hiking, hot
pools and a unique pace of life.
Whanganui
River Trip: The Whanganui River winds its way from
the mountains of the central North Island out
to the West Coast at Wanganui. With huts and
campsites conveniently located along its banks
and some impressive scenery the river is ideal
for canoe travel. With just enough rapids to
keep it interesting this is a safe, but fun,
trip.
Anyone
who lives in Auckland will tell you we can only
survive by escaping to the coast every
now and then. There are plenty of
great spots close to the city.
There
are so many great places to go if you have a
weekend free. Or even better a Monday or
Friday off as well.
