What types of trips are there?

The trips can be anything from an evening drive to the beach for sunset fish and chips, to a three day road trip around the Coromandel or even a 10 day South Island mission. That is the beauty of GOOTmate - we can do anything!
 

How do you find a trip?

We use the social networking site facebook to allow easy communication between GOOTmates and travellers. All the GOOTmates are on facebook and you can find information about up and coming (and past) trips on their individual facebook pages. There are three ways you can find these pages.

1. Look at the list of up and coming trips listed on this website
2. Look at the list of trips under each of the individual GOOTmates
3. Search GOOTmate on face book (you will find the trips listed on the GOOTmates individual facebook pages)
    

How do you sign up for a trip?

If you have a facebook account you can sign up for a trip. Locate the trip event page where you will find details and information about the trip. You can post questions or comments on the wall post or send a more personal message to the relevant GOOTmate. You can also advertise on the event page for passengers in your car or attempt to find a spare seat in a car if you don’t have one. If you want to go on the trip you can confirm that you will be attending and then the GOOTmate will send you the relevant details. We recommend that you become friends with your GOOTmate so that you will receive invites to all their future trips.
 

What to take on a trip?

All this information will be provided on the trip event page. When you go on the trip please ensure you have the correct koha for the GOOTmate and that you contribute to petrol and other associated trip costs.
