Back in 1975 a young climber named Rick White had a dream.
Companied with determination and ambition, Rick launched Mountain
Designs. His goal was to provide quality goods to adventurers
like himself and started distributing out of a small house in
Brisbane. In the early 1970's many Australasians became increasingly
interested in the international mountaineering and rock climbing
scene. Mountain Designs was created in response to this demand.
It is this "Heritage born of the mountains" philosophy
which has been a consistent image for the past 30 years.
