Te Mata Lodge is the perfect base for exploring all that the Coromandel Peninsula has to offer. The Lodge has a choice of five cabins with separate facilities that sleep 6 people each, or four self-contained cottages providing quality, reasonably priced accommodation.

This is great little valley with a rocky stream running through, 3 sandy swimming holes, a trail through the bush to the beach, garden and picnic areas, expansive grassy lawn, tables under the trees overlooking the river and an abundance of native bush, birds and idyllic peacefulness... 	Five cabins with separate facilities (sleep six people each): $25 per person year round   Cabins have double beds and bunks, easy chairs and a table/chairs, polished wood floors, good lighting and each uniquely decorated.   A "Lounge room" with sofa, comfortable chairs, reading material and video is available for people staying in the cabins.   Toilets/showers/kitchen is a short walk away. The house that we stayed in was enormous, clean, and very comfortable. It had everything we needed to have a wonderful stay. We also used the free kayaks and paddled around the river behind the lodge. Te Mata lodge offers wonderful cabins hidden away in the forest, and set on a delightful stream. Jeana Allan, Unregistered Te Mata Lodge in Coromandel was absolutely wonderful! The owners were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful when it came to showing us "lost" Americans around! Also, accomodations were very cozy!
